The aim is to help improve the social participation of people with disabilities by promoting mobility. Both are important factors in the fight against the vicious circle of disability and poverty and contribute to greater independence. Since 2013, HHF has been collecting around 100 used wheelchairs and other walking aids every year and refurbishing them at its site in Lüdenscheid. The target groups are people with walking disabilities in Germany and abroad, with a focus on Germany and Kenya in particular, most recently as part of aid deliveries in Ukraine. This enables us to provide for up to 250 people a year.

In Kenya, our local partner organization Nathan Hall Williams Centre (NHWC) runs a rehabilitation center for people with disabilities in Nakuru. NHWC takes a holistic approach and offers daily physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and trauma therapy for people who are unable to receive medical care for economic and social reasons. The center also has a community outreach program where the therapists visit people who live further away or cannot afford to visit the center. The delivery of mobility aids is one component of the collaboration between NHWC and HHF. There is also a workshop on site where wheelchairs, walking aids and crutches can be measured and then adapted to the respective needs. This ensures the sustainable use of the mobility aids.

In Germany, we support facilities that help the homeless, particularly in the Rhineland and Ruhr regions, by providing hygiene and health products, including mobility aids. We work with facilities that offer various forms of support and assistance to several thousand homeless people every year.

Fundifix and Hardcore Help Foundation joined forces to fight the water crisis.  Access to clean and safe water is a human right, yet worldwide more than 785 million people have no access to clean and safe drinking water. Unsafe and dirty water kills more people than any violence, including war, with most of it being children under five years old. Join us and support with us communities in need!
How we make a difference
We follow 3 guiding principles to ensure the best implementation to support local communities with access to clean and safe drinking water:
1) 100% of funds go directly to the project. We can achieve this as we run the charities solely on a volunteering basis. In our private lives, we are teachers, entrepreneurs, investors, and engineers, and many more things.
2) We automate the water systems and implement real-time monitoring. This allows the community to track their water systems at any given time and provide 100% transparency to our donors.
3) We strongly believe in the independence and empowerment of local communities. We involve local community members at every step of the decision-making process from scoping the project to understanding what they require. We also provide the community with the ability to digitally collect payments to maintain their water systems. This allowed us to provide more than 7.8 million liters of water on our 2 last projects in Kenya and the local communities to raise more than $9200 to maintain their water systems leading to minimize the breakage of the water system.
How we will tackle the local challenges
The community is facing tremendous challenges. Currently, access to water is unsafe and unhygienic. The risk of catching transmissible diseases by local community members since humans and livestock are sharing the water source. On top of that, the water source has a limited capacity with only 1 tap leading to long queues and limited delivery of water to the local community. Our renewal will ensure that the community can use the water source in the long term with access to clean and safe water and provide income to the local community to maintain the water source. Improvements will involve constructing a water kiosk with more taps to reduce queuing time. Install a water ATM to ensure users can fetch water 24/7 and reduce operating costs as no operator will be required. In addition, local social enterprise FundiFix providing professional repair and maintenance service to KPS.
How you can help
With the aim to fund a Waterkiosk implement a new water infrastructure and taps and a trough for cattle, as well as provide maintenance services to the local community. Make a difference with us. Throughout the project, we will keep you updated so you can follow your impact throughout!

Together with our partners in Kenya, Nathan Hall Williams Center (NHWC), we launched a campaign to collect donations for water filters.

More than 40% of the population of Kenya lacks access to clean and safe drinking water. Until now, it has been very difficult and sometimes dangerous for impoverished communities to rely on the inconsistent water sources available. Providing clean water is one of the most meaningful ways we can help improve the health, sanitation, and hygiene of the communities we work with in Kenya. These water filters are simple to use, affordable, and truly make a lasting impact on those we help. We want to see what happens when every single household in a village has access to clean, safe water.

A donation of 20€ will provide clean, safe water to a family for two years. We need your help to reach out to more families in need. Below are some pictures of previous distributions.

We have a new campaign shirt available which cost 20€. With this new shirt we want to raise awareness and collect more donations for this clean water project. Over the past years we were able to distribute water filters with a local ngo NHWC in Nakuru Kenya and gave more then 10.000 people access to clean water. In 2018 we want to distribute more filters and we want to build a well in the area where we distribute them. 100% of the sales of this shirt goes into this project.

Shirt is available in our online shop http://shop.hardcore-help.org

Denn all dies rettet Leben!

In April we build a rehabilitation center out of the container we shipped in 2015 together with an architect Till Gröner.  We distributed the hundreds of wheelchairs, crutches, walkers, and medical supplies that you donated to us over the past two years. Mobility was given to many and we’re seeing the impact our projects have on people with disabilities every day.
We believe that every individual has potential to do great things and we’ve made it our mission to support projects that believe in the same.
This center is special and our partners at NHWC provides Physio, occupational, speech, and trauma therapy every day to people who would otherwise go without. There’s also be a mobility device workshop, where people can be measured for wheelchairs, walkers, and crutches that will then be customized to fit their specific needs.  The center also has a community outreach program where our therapists will go into the homes of people who stay further away or who can’t afford to make it the center.
We can transform the lives of people with disabilities with your help!

Each month we sponsor a clinic in a low-income community within Nakuru County. Clinics are provided free of charge to families and individuals who cannot afford healthcare and thus, suffer from small ailments that prove life threatening. There is a strong emphasis on preventative services however, comprehensive healthcare services are offered to all who attend. Services include outpatient clinical services, HIV testing and counseling, short and long-term family planning, nutritional counseling and supplements, antenatal services for expectant mothers, immunizations for infant and small children, and medication when prescribed. On average each clinic provides healthcare for 250-300 people. To date we held more than 40 clinics and provided free healthcare to more than 15.000 people.
