This month we have two continuing medical trainings for healthcare workers at maternity hospitals in Nakuru. Our partners @nhwc_kenya met with teams of nurses and medical officers at Bondeni Maternity Hospital yesterday to conduct a real-time training using POCUS (Point-of-Care Ultrasound) machines with antenatal patients. The World Health Organization recommends that all pregnant women receive two scans during pregnancy. These scans improve adverse outcomes and create access to diagnostic imaging in regions where diagnostics have often been a critically missing component of pregnancy care.
